Ledger Features
- Ledgers come pre-configured with all the nominal accounts required to run a successful retail, service and rental business
- Adding accounts is a simple user task, with provision for 9999 different nominal accounts, each with 99 different departments
- The structure of the profit and loss statement is completely user defined, as are the balance sheet reports
- When using Purchase Order Processing, Point of Sale and the Rental module, the transactions are automatically posted to the appropriate ledger and linked with the nominal
- Purchase invoices are automatically checked for retros and early settlement
- The Nominal Ledger also houses the bank account(s)
Bank Reconciliation Features
- To simplify matters when reconciling to your bank statement, all payment types may be grouped so that they appear as one figure. These groupings depend entirely on how card payments appear on your statement, you may need individual payment groups for AMEX etc. which the system accommodates happily
- Also for Cheque refunds to customers (and any other reason you may need it), the system allows a special payment type with a flag set to monitor individual transactions - this will automatically set the payment group to "Sole" ensuring the transaction appears on the bank rec individually. So you reap the benefits of speed with bulk posting/reconciliation but retain complete control in being able to track a single transaction
Cashing-Up and Banking Features
- Each transaction is recorded against the payment method used and offers a till-takings report for cashing-up each day
- Cashing up and banking does not have to be done daily, it can be done as frequently or infrequently as you wish as long as the reports are run each time
- A daily-sales report is available to reconcile the takings against - again this can be for as many days as you wish
- Individual "tills" can be set up for each salesperson - especially handy for mailorder centres
